T-Shirt Design

I was asked to design T-shirts for Millersville’s outdoors club’s campus clean-up day (2023 and 2024). I wanted to keep an outdoors/nature design for both of them. I kept the bear as a consistent theme in both.

The first design I did was for the Fall 2023 Campus Clean-up. I added Millersville’s pond and swans in the background with the bears cleaning up the trash in front.

The second design was for the Spring 2024 Campus Clean-up day. I added flowers to the trash can and a sun in the background to fit better for springtime. I also used the font that I created for the text on the shirt.

Physical & Digital

I like to do printmaking in tandem with digital illustration. I create my design, typically in Procreate, and print it out to transfer it onto the print materials required for each type of printmaking (copper plate, screen printing mesh, linoleum block, etc.).

I’ve found this to be my preferred way to design and make my prints. I have done a variety of printmaking methods including screen printing, etching, linocut, drypoint, and aquatint.
